Tucked under the stringed lights of Rue Laval in Gatineau, this small eatery is sure to please. Mainly outdoor seating under blue skies, we shared two appetizers and a main. We also had dessert, hello flan! All dishes were stand alone favorites! I think their menu changes but we had fois gras, spicy pork bites and lobster Mac and cheese, which came out bubbling! The lobster part was a cold lobster salad on bread and on top was grilled, bacon wrapped asparagus. Perfectly balanced. The wine and beer was also unique. I had orange white wine, which was delightful for summer! If you are visiting Ottawa, make the trip across the river for this gem! BTW- see photos for correct hours. They do not close at 7pm on Tuesday or I would not be writing this!
This place was an awesome find! It's really small (~ 12 seats) so it's easy to overlook. 3 of us split 2 appetizers (crazy corn & foie gras) & then got separate entrees. The food was incredible! Some simple dishes were cooked to perfection & it showed in the taste! The staff were incredibly polite and wanted to ensure they explained the dishes to us (in English thank goodness!) & provided thoughts on the food options & beverages. An absolute joy to eat here. I wish I was here more than the 1 night or I would go back again. I highly recommend trying this place for great food & great service!!!

We randomly searched restaurants nearby and found this gem. You'll never regret. Their foods were so good, and they had very nice drinks too.
Very innovative foods. A combination of western style and Asian styles. As Chinese, my family enjoyed foods there. Most westerners also enjoy wines there. I am not a fan of wines. But the bistro has a big collection of wines.
